The Open Sea from Stampin' Up!

Today I am going to introduce The Open Sea, another of the new stamp sets in the new Summer Mini Catalogue.  I am particularly excited about this 5 stamp set as its is going to be great for cards for men - lots of you tell me you find these cards hard but with a stamp set like this I am sure you will soon change your mind!  It is also going to be fantastic for scrapbooking, especially those summer holiday pages, for creating cards for lots of different occasions and as a background stamp.  I especially love the ledger page and the compass images.

The card I am going to share with you today show just how easily you can pull something together with this stamp sets.

I have used masculine shades of Crumb Cake and Soft Suede and given it a bit of zing with Island Indigo.  The sails of the ship have been coloured using a Blender Pen and my Whisper White Ink Pad.  The papers are a scrap of the wonderful Attic Boutique Papers that I had left over from another project.

The decorations along the bottom were fast and easy to add using my new favourite tool - my Simply Scored!  Check out this page for details and to find out about the I Scored! packages I am offering to help you get the most from your new Simply Scored!
